The Land Bank held its organizational meeting on Augadopting the internal documents governing the newly-formed corporation. On May 3, 2018, the Ohio Secretary of State approved the articles of incorporation creating the Huron County Land Reutilization Corporation (Land Bank). The seven industry sectors are: 1) Agriculture, 2) Healthcare, 3) Construction, 4) Manufacturing, 5) Service/Travel/Tourism, 6) Transportation/Logistics, and 7) Davis Besse. HCDC wants and needs feedback from our Huron County employers! The implementation portion of this project will be based on information YOU provided us for the analysis and study! Our next step is focus group meetings by industry sectors to allow us to dive deeper into the issues specific to them. The 4CG group and our consultant held a SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats) Analysis on Septemat Terra State with 53 participants from all four counties.
OHIO CRA BLIGHT DEFINITION FULL
We have acquired FULL funding through the State of Ohio Department of Job and Family Services for this workforce study and analysis for our four-county region and shared labor pool. This four-county group has worked together and collaborated on events and activities for the last six years.
The JobsOhio Economic Development Grant is reimbursement-based and requires supporting documentation. Taxes from which the Grantee is normally exempt.Goods and services for personal use by the Grantee’s employees.Costs (fines, penalties, assessments) resulting from a violation of or failure to comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.Contributions and donations by the Grantee to individuals or to other organizations.
Rolling stock (defined as anything that has to be registered with a government entity and/or travels on a public right-a-way).Administrative costs (including salaries and travel expenses).Bonds or other debt instruments issued by Grantee to finance the completion of the site improvement project shall not be retired or otherwise serviced with grant funds.Fees and material costs related to planning or feasibility studies.Infrastructure including utility, telecommunications, information technology, etc.Moving and relocation costs of machinery and equipment (freight shipping) related to the project.The JobsOhio Economic Development Grant focuses on fixed-asset and infrastructure investment by companies, which may include the following: Ineligible projects include but are not limited to retail and other population-driven businesses. JobsOhio will set a wage floor based on multiple wage considerations. The program includes projects by companies engaged in JobsOhio’s targeted industries and business functions. JobsOhio may consider providing assistance for eligible projects that improve operational efficiencies or production expansion, along with the retention of jobs. The program requires the creation of jobs within a specified period of time and may consider the amount of proceeds per job created.
